Texan vs Floridians

Day 2 of the Florida coastline kayak fishing tour and the stage is set! One fisherman from Texas meeting up with three local legends to take them on in their own stomping grounds.

To see who can catch the biggest and the most, I will be outnumbered against Dave, Carole and Randy. The rules have been decided and considering it's three to one I think the locals have made it a little stringent. If it isn't bad enough that they're putting me out on the water with 15mph winds and even higher gusts, I accept the challenge.

Truth be told, this is a totally fabricated story. I was blessed and honored to meet up with Dave, Carole and Brian. Randy was unable to make the meet up but we met Brian on the ramp, also a Salt Strong insider. This is what makes the Salt Strong community so great! You can travel from Texas to Florida and meet up with folks who love to fish, in some cases you've never met, and have great fellowship on and off the water.

When you're just passing through for a few days you kind of have to take the weather conditions that are presented to you, but when you live here you don't and you pick the days you want to fish. The forecast conditions were very undesirable and yet Dave, Carole and Brian were able to meetup and show me their local fishing grounds. Thanks Dave Otte and Carole Turner for meeting up with me in some really crappy conditions when you didn't have to, the fellowship was great! I'm sorry you couldn't make it Randy Miller, but thanks for putting it on the calendar and attempting, next time! Brain it was great meeting you!

The real fish story, I did catch three trout the largest being 17" and one remora. It was a rough day on the water and the winds where as described, but I had a wonderful time. I would do it over time and time again just for the great fellowship alone.

BTW I caught the biggest and the most, more than all three combined!
